+1 to those.

Not enough people know about To-Mera. Might be different here, because Brett's a regular on these forums, but if you don't know of them, you should check them out. Definitely the best prog metal band I've ever heard, and my favourite band in general. The vocals are wonderful, the musicianship is impressive yet musical and the production is up to Brett's usual ridiculously high standard.

Unexpect are from Canada, and feature incredible musicianship and awesome songwriting. The core members include a violinist and three vocalists, and the whole thing sounds like Mike Patton-influenced black metal circus music.

The Diablo Swing Orchestra are a great Swedish band that combine the big-band swing sound with metal. Sounds a bit like the Devin Townsend song, Bad Devil.

I cant get into sybreed's latest for some reason.. i really like their previous effort, but this one seems boring compared to that one.. could be me though, since i need to give a better chance and some time to grow on me.

And now, a week or so later. im really into the new album!

Well concerning DSO - it was like running a marathon forward and backwards at the same time - alotta strange stuff on that album
It took 7 weeks to record + 2 weeks to mix (1 song per day)
I think it turned out pretty sweet!!!
