ok at the risk of this sounding like one of those cheesy academy awards speeches:

Thankyou to Mike, Russ, Mike, Jason and Mike for giving the forum a second chance, and mostly, thankyou Jax for fighting to keep it alive.

I think pretty much everyone, at least the regs to this board hold the band in the utmost regard and would never do anything (intentionally at least) to cause disrespect to Symphony X or any other band in a way that would jeopardise SyX's reputation.

So hopefully we've all learned from this close call to stop the flaming wars and stop spreading rumours and anything else to cause friction here.

And again, thankyou thankyou!

I could not have worded it better myself. Thank you all. We are eternally in debt. I was afraid for a moment that I had lost contact with all the fun Symphony X fans.

I had heard that the band was concerned with some of the info posted on the board (cancellations, tours, tour dates)...but I didn't think the board was in jeopardy of being shut down.

Mark (the guy who runs UM) disabled the post count and reputation points because of some spam problems on other forums.

Yeah, some dude on the CoB forum was going for a maddening number of posts, and half the time he'd just reply with a smiley... so I understand why.

Yup the Chat forum has a similar troll in action there, one of the forum mods says the guy sometimes posts like 100 times a day..crazy crap, some people are SO in need of a life..

haha 100 times a day? I think that's overdoing it just a little :Spin: .... I don't even think I have 40 posts yet. I was still sad to see the forum close over the weekend though. Thanks to all the guys who give my life meaning (Symphony X), Jax, and anyone else who helped to keep the forum up!

I found the shutdown to be ironic, because this has for the most part been one of the most well managed forums on UM, and has rarely experienced problems with trolling and spamming...and it must stay that way.

Well, I'm glad this place is back! I really felt bummed out as this is the main source for info on the band, and the people on here are cool. I'm glad Jax saved our collective asses and so all praises to her!! I thought this was one of the nicest,most fun fora around, esp. compared to some of the others (try the DT for instance) Rejoyce!!!!
