COREY TAYLOR Will Not Sing On New ANTHRAX Album

Meh to Whit joining Anthrax. He isn't really my type of singer either...

Like I said; for me there's four options:
1. If by some strange aligning of the cosmos or by hypnotism:)hypno:), John actually changes his mind, bring the man back!

2. Get a singer that has a voice in between John and Joey's style.

3.... Or get some guy we might not know... hey, it worked once!

4. Hang it up and call it one big, long, awesome day.

Hopefully it won't come to the last option, but seriously; this is getting a bit ridiculous now. :erk:

Yeah..........and..........??? So does Britney Spears albums.

What's your point?

really nothing, i couldn't understand the comment that america's least wanted isn't a very professional effort. look who's message board this is and then we'll talk about unprofessional.

anyways whit crane is a great singer and easily could sing a john or joey song with no problem

The fact that the last albums didn't do so well sales-wise had nothing to do with John Bush. Times change, and there are less and less people interested in the kind of metal Anthrax does. Simple fact, just plain logic.

Changing singers won't do shit for Anthrax - except maybe if they got Corey but everybody knows they would be getting false interest/curiosity from Slipknot fans. The problem is not singers, it's much deeper than this.

Is the band still relevant in 2007 with the style of music they do? Oh, they can still put out albums and tour, but the guys have to accept the fact that they won't be doing arena tours and selling many thousands of albums like in the days. Belladonna had nothing to do with this back then. And putting out a new album with Belladonna wouldn't change a thing now in 2007.

Times change, and the band needs to accept that. There's the problem : egos are hurt, reality hurts. Bands eventually fade away, one day or another. It's a question of choosing between calling it quits with your head up high and your integrity intact, or, refusing to face reality and ridicule yourself with questionnable decisions to try to keep your band alive.

I'm not saying that Anthrax is completely irrelevant in 2007. They still can make great music, but to a narrower audience with alot less money coming in. If they accept that, they'll be fine...

I go for #4, with a little modification, drop the name Anthrax and start a new band!CadillacRockBox style!!!!:kickass:

Bring Belladona back.

Sorry, but there's no chance of that happening. Ever. If Belladonna was smart, he wouldn't join them again after all that's happened between them. And if he is by any chance that naive that he would join them again if given the chance, he really needs a huge reality check.

And I don't think Scott and Charlie want him back anyway. I think it's pretty clear that they were shooting for John Bush. Even during the reunion, rudely enough.

Yeah if only that could happen, but I think they have ruined every chance of ever getting back up there by now.

Pretty much.

The problem with Scott and Charlie is that they make impulsive business decisions that eventually come back to haunt them. For example, back in 2000 when they announced a double-singer tour before even asking Joey if he wanted to participate or not. The end result was, as you know, bad. Joey ended up looking like a huge money-grubbing asshole, and Charlie and Scott had to continue to make Joey look that bad to make themselves look good. Even if Joey was indeed being unreasonable, I thought that whole deal was a little fishy. (Not to dig up old news, but it was a good example of their business behaviour.)

The bottom line is, business is an ugly thing, whether you like it or not: especially when you are not good at it.

Nobody mentioned huge tour opportunities - however, everytime they came through Ohio, both headlining and not, the shows were completely packed (Toledo being the one exception - but they had never played there in their entire career, before or since - so they never built up a fanbase - and people from Detroit didn't make the drive because it was a Tuesday night).

Plus, that show had the shittiest promotion: none. If they would have came through with Dio, JP or Rob Zombie they would have sold mucho tix and the venue they played would have been too small. It does suck that most metal (or even major) shows play even the Detroit area on any day(s) but Fri. or Sat.

Yeah gotta go with you on that one Matt. Loved his work in Medication too.

medication is great, i'm waiting for his new project "another animal" in october. he wouldn't sing the joey songs really high or anything but he could handle the songs

Mmm... yeah, but he would do far better on the John stuff. John could handle Joey's stuff too, but what would be awesome is if they find someone with great range that can sing the low stuff and the high stuff no problem.

...Problem is, there's not a lot of singers like that anymore. :erk:
