D E A T H - Sound of Perseverance

I think Control Denied is the best stuff Chuck ever released, but Tim Aymar's vocals took some getting used to.

you should have wrote this as the first sentence ... now I know the style you are into and why you like the aforementioned releases.

Gotta love that fretless basswork on Individual Thought Patterns...."Jealousy" rules just for the bass. And that King Diamond homage section on "Overactive Imagination"...

Human is probably the finest Disc. Spiritual Healing a close 2nd. I enjoy most of the stuff Death produced, excellent song writing and I always dug the chuck's vocals; as someone above stated, you can understand what he is singing most of the time

I love Spiritual Healing, it has the thrashy goodness of Leprosy, with the beginnings of the jazz death of human. Some kickass shit.

So in summary:

Sounds of Perseverance is back to being my 2nd fave Death release. I'll concede to recognizing ITP as their best now, thanks much to Andy LaRoque.

Arise > Chaos AD (and forever will be)

speed thought lurch and I were truly arguing, before we posted the muppets picture.

RIP Chuck (whether you caused your own brain cancer or not). :loco:
