Here's my beef with pot: I got mad high with a bunch of friends a few nights ago, since i thoughtwhat the hell? Been a long time since i've done it, and i don't really do it a regular basis anyway. Just once in a blue moon. And i now remember why i don't do it. First off, i feel very, very vulnerable and well...for lack of a better word...naked, i guess. Not physically, though. More like emotionally, mentally, i dunno. I don't know how to explain it. I don't like it. I guess that's just MY reaction to it. I also extra figity, and trust me, i'm very, VERY figity to begin with. And the thing i hate most about it...i HATE, absolutely HATE that feeling that you get in your lungs and throat after coughing. Y'know, that really burning, raw feeling? Fucking HATE it!

Just to explain whats going on. In Belgium ISP's enforce a data limit towards their customers. carnut has reached that limit and his subscription has been limited to dailup speed.
He is very upset about this, to say the least, because just a few miles away from him in The Netherlands were I live we have unlimited downloads without data limits.
I believe that the explanation for this is that the market for ISP's in Belgium is not even half as big as in The Netherlands. So competition in Belgium is not very strong. Since almost half of the people in Belgium speak French and almost no English there is a much smaller demand for broadband connections than in The Netherlands where almost everyone speaks English.
Its a bad situation for carnut

UNBELIEVABLE! A guy from Portugal told me the same story regarding download quota.
I live in a third world country. We have only a government monopoly ISP provider, the two cable companies of the country (private oligopoly) carry the signal to cable modem users. I pay a lot by month for a 128/256 kbps connection...and all and all we have zero limitations to traffic/download! (like Netherlands I suppose).
