Decapitated show on Saturday!

i would give nething to see decapitated:P seeing anti-human maniofesto played live would be amazign! but alas...im not in london hey?
have heard some rotting christ thru a mate of mine who loves em...r very cool. new incentive to hear a lil more maybe....:P

Well I thought the show last night kicked serious ass! All the band's were superb in my opinion, although the highlight was obviously Decapitated. Anata were amazing as well, but I didn't catch all of their set.

The sound was understandably very bassy, so some of the mad Decapitated riffs were a bit hard to make out but they roared through their set with such power that it didn't matter. Sauron's vocals are superb!

I interviewed their bass player Martin as well which was very cool.

Decapitated!!! \m/

So who else was there? What did you think?

P.S. did you know that if Martin from Decapitated could only rescue one album from his burning house it would in fact be 'Homogenous' by Bjork! :D

Yeah i was there...

Anata, Rotting Christ and Decapitated were awesome, i thought Thus Defiled were dull, generic and just plain shite. I was hoping Decapitated would play some earlier songs like Nine Steps, Ereshkigal, Blessed, Mandatory Suicide, The Eye of Horus etc... Still though, great set.

(from what i remember) They played (not in order)...

-Three-Dimensional Defect
-Nihility
-Perfect Dehumanization
-Eternity Too Short (i think, might have been Mother War)
-The Negation
-Lying and Weak
-Spheres of Madness

I was dissapointed by the short set played by Decapitated but thats because of the dumbass curfew they enforce at the Camden Underworld. What fucked me off even more was the fact that they opened the gig over a fucking hour late, id been outside since 4:30pm (i like to be at the front, shush), thinking it was opening at 6pm (according to the ticket website and printed on my ticket), instead it opens at gone 7pm. So because of that Decapitated's set was cut short and i was conned out of money, ive been advised to consider getting a refund. Seems to be a recurring problem i get with the Underworld.

Met Sauron outside before the gig though, he signed a load of peoples' tickets, signed mine! lol In true lame ass groupie fashion, i can add that to Vitek's signature i got at that special album preview gig before the x-mass fest 2003.

I didnt think i was going to enjoy Rotting Christ because i have their latest effort "genesis" and although i havent listened to it in yonks, i dont recall liking it that much but they impressed me live so i may just have to reconsider. Anata were as tight as a nun which i was told to expect so they lived up to my expectations!

Yeah they definitely played Mother War, and I agree I would have liked some older stuff like Nine Steps and The First Damned.

I thought there were a few interesting aspects to thus defiled, but nothing special

I think mabye i would have a better opinion of Thus Defiled if id have been properly listening to them in with the crowd, i went off to get beer during their set and came back but was too occupied with my beer and watching this woman headbang to them. I dont know what it is........i just find women headbanging intriguing

Anyway, from what i did hear of Thus Defiled, i wasnt that impressed as you can tell but i'll give them another chance
