Deliverence VS BWP (the songs)

Lyrically, Blackwater Park. Overall, probably Deliverance, because I'm a fan of the mellow parts.

I'm not going to answer this, simply because I haven't had Deliverance long enough, or listened to it enough to have it really grow on me. I think after a couple weeks or so, a lot of peoples opinions of the album will become more positive.

Both contain great song, so it's very hard to say...

But I can say I feel A fair Judgement is one of the greatest song Opeth wrote, I probably love it more than any other song on BWP, including A funeral Portrait !!!!

Too early to tell, but I think Deliverance may possibly take the cake. I'll know for sure once I get a real copy of D1 and have had it for a month or two.

Hard to say. I think the individual songs on Deliverance are better in a certain way. Like they feel more important. Maybe because they're longer and feel more dramatic.

But they can't touch some stuff on BWP, things that that album did that this one doesn't. I think it had a lot more groove to the riffing than Deliverance.
