Who's to say you aren't protesting the war because you are a bed-wetter that's too chicken shit to fight for their country? The walls are paper thin and you sometimes hear the man of the week pounding away at mom's "meatloaf" but...Mom doesn't charge her baby boy for staying in the extra room in her trailer, does she?

I like to think of myself as somewhere in the middle, I used to be more to the left, then reality sank in.

Anyhow, I have a beautiful wife and two beautiful daughters, so my perspective on this is twofold. On one hand, I would love to see the problem makers wiped the fuck out, on the other hand, I know what our government has done both to its own people and to other countries that leaves a bit of vomit in my mouth. But this thing going on over there is not really our business, other than the money making business. This is an age old conflict, over religion and land. Land that belongs to no one other than the planet itself. And religion, well, out of respect for everyone's personal beliefs I'm not gonna go there.

Bottom line, for decades the Sunni minority ran shit, now the US leveled the playing field for their civil war and the Shiites are the majority. We're seeing "majority rules" at work in its infancy stages. I'm sure the early days of our country weren't so organized either, I get that. But, these fuckers need to know we are leaving, if they want to run their country, then fucking run it.

Disengage from their civil war, let the winner actually win and then deal with them on a diplomatic level when they come to you.

The article was about more than just sending more troops. It was about Democratic plans to cut funding and equipment to the troops. I would like to see the troops out of that shitbox as much as the next person. If they have to be there, I don't want a bunch of closed-minded liberals cutting of equipment that could keep them safe.

at least when Bush sent them into war, he was doing it for what he [with the exception of the Dems who did it only because it was popular with the people, at that time] felt was a just cause for the benefit of our nation and the world.
