Chrome?

Ok though, seriously... Chrome? -10

Chrome is one of the fastest one out there. It's probably safer than IE as well.

I'm actually trying out the Chrome Beta, now, damn it is fast.

I haven't even tried this yet, so from the above responses, I can assume it's fast, but it it sucks?

Safety in my case is from an enterprise point of view. When EIT tells us to use IE Vx due to security reasons, one must assume they are saying that because of the security measures they have put in place for that version. Using something outside that version can then introduce other security threats they are not prepared for.

...or that MS isn't even prepared for. In the transaction industry that I'm in, most have adopted IE7 as their standard, but there a couple that refuse, and are still sticking with 6. I wish both versions could coexist on the same box/server/workstation. Would make my life a LOT easier!

.

Well I don't really know what Ken has against it but I'm sure he'll explain. Basically it's got all the tabbed browsing and bookmarking features I like about Firefox and is faster. It's downfall for me is it doesn't have the ability to use Addons like Firefox does.

The main difference between chrome and IE/Firefox is that each tab is a single process so if you're pornsurfing and some bugged looping JScript crashes the website you're on, only that single tab goes down instead of the whole browser being gay. Speaking of pornsurfing, it also has a porn mode. Firefox doesn't have that yet.

That actually sounds like a nice feature.

OK, so it looks like Swabs AND Zach are using the wallpaper I posted, so mine is gonna look, well, similar...but just as epic :D
My Desktop (full res size, I didn't want to scale it down ;))

Chrome sucks because the interface is too large. I want a browser, not a friggin command center like some aol homepage. It further sucks because of all the Google integration, and sucks yet further because it's a rip off of a rip off of a legitimate browser build. This is like the Zune knockoff of browsers. I can think of worse: Myspace Browser! But it's on that level. What good features it has are eclipsed by the lack of standard features in other browsers, support, EULA, and overall efficiency. It may be fast, but that's because there's nothing to it. That sound you're hearing is the spyware loading at record speeds as it shoots straight past all the nonexistent security.

Thanks Ken, I'll let it sit right where it is for a few (dozen) builds.... :)
