Dimmu Borgir

I have one Emperor CD-R (someone burned it for me to sample) and it sounded like shit. The music was great, but it sounds like they just put a mini tape recorder on the floor and recorded the album with it. Too much hissing and crap.
Do they always sound like that?

Must have been some really early stuff or copied from a fifth generation tape or summit cos the production on the last 2-3 albums has been really good. I highly recommend 'Anthems to the welkin at dusk' or 'IX Equilibrium', still getting into their latest (and unfortunalty last offering) myself.

MindMorgue.

I think it might have been their first album, but I don't know. I'll definitely check out the ones you mentioned! Thanks!

Has anyone here heard of Malevolent Creation?
They Rule!

If you like Malevolent Creation, you MUST check out Emporer and Dimmu Borgir!

Sounds like you got "Wrath of the Tyrant". Its demo quality. .........oh wait, demo quality was the production quality back then.

malevolent hatred of life , seeing death fall from the sky .
resisting the view from my eyes,
receiving plesure from watching you die

The ten commandmets by malevolent creation is one of the best death metal records ever

I saw Malevolent Creation once during their tour for 'Eternal'.
My truck got broken into during that show, and my stereo almost got stolen.
Afterwards, "They Breed" became my new favorite song.
"Always wanting, always taking
what was never yours!
Someday you will feel the hate
That you give to others."

And yes, I know the lyrics at the end are not "That you give to others," but instead a racial slur. But that song still rules! I'm not racist against anyone except the fucking cocksucking scum that broke into my truck that night!
