First of all..sorry for the shameless big letters in the title :)

To the track: I used really old fashioned technique to record this, I used real drums with 8 mics (pearl export/sabian) without replacement, for the guitars I used Marshall jvm205h and Mesa recti 4x12 cab. I tryed to let it sound fresh, dirty and not very bling bling perfect like. I worked a long time with it, it would be awesome, if you could say something about it.

Directlink: cynic god

I played the drums, the gitz & the bass and recorded the shit...vocals will be recorded next Saturday. Maybe you can help me to get a good result for it.

Best wishes,

Felix Neumann

And I wonder why you can't hear the bass in my recordings :)

Great sound Felix!

Olliii :kickass: :kickass: :kickass:

Haha I think, I know the reason. I was more hours long in the studio with good monitors. As I had listen to your stuff, I was at the Laptop. I really wanna give your stuff another try with good monitors. Maybe then I hear your bass a lot better :)

Thanks for your words, dude!!

after listening to your record I really want to add some bass to my stuff man!

great playing, maybe you'll give me a lesson some time ;)

ah yeah I did some further eq to my guitars so they don't hurt :)

because it rules :) wacken around the corner (I hate it but cool to have it). Nice landscape. Baltic sea. You know - all that stuff!

Yes man, I just listen to your stuff..the evil khz´s are history :)

Haha yeah I believe ya, dude :) I spoke concerning the great geographic distance between Karlsruhe and Kiel..it´s fucking 1000 Km or something. Why do you hate Wacken?!

Hey Felix, let's see - first off, I really dig the riffing, great groove! And your trademark wailing solos don't disappoint either :D Gotta say though, I'm not feeling the guitar tone here; I can hear it's got the same cool character that I liked on "Gunman's Poem," but there's too much cloudy mids (and not enough presence) going on here for my tastes; sounds like you could be too far off the dustcap with the mic, or maybe you dialed in the amp differently. I love the crunch, it just needs some more cut IMO!

Ooh, the music just picked up to the Maiden-esque section, and I love your solo here, excellently played! The lead tone rules, I wouldn't change it. As for the drums, I dig the kick (needs to come up in volume however), though I feel the snare could use a bit more air/snap (like the 6-8k range, but don't quote me on that) - it's got a good pop, so plenty of potential! Also, the hi-hat is every so slightly too loud IMO. And I really dig the bass, though there might be just a touch too much mud at around 200, I think the mix would benefit from taming it a bit.

Oh, and it's "Rectifier," btw :D And that's you playing drums? Nice dude, I wish I didn't legendarily suck at them :erk:

Thanks Marcus for the time that you spend for it. Highly appreciated :kickass: :kickass: :kickass: I will try to make the rythm guitars better. I just noticed, that the bass is really too muddy..taming it will spend more transparency..you´re damn right. I fear, I cannot change the drums this time. I rendered it already and cutted the stereo sum(I will never do this again) The overheads are a bit too loud. (I really worked old fashioned and cumbersome) Any tipps for using a plug-in for the drum stereo sum? :)

Thanks for your words, Marcus!!

careless mistake..I fuckin´swear  Rectifier!!!

Oh yes, before I discovered guitars for me, I learned the drums as a 13 years old kid...about 2 years. Thereafter I sometimes played it..and I love it. But the guitar is more my pot of coffee :)
