Marshall cab right? I like the marshall cab sound, but sometimes it lack some tightness when there are some palm.mutes. Do you notice that or it depends on the mic placement?

Yeah 1960A cab and sm57/SE mic on phase.
Sorry, I haven't notice everything about pm tightness loose with mine, so I don't know... But my 1960 isn't new (20years old).

In this case I agree... But I think it's simply nature of the beast
All g75 +recto tone I ear have this smooth feeling (except DHIDW but I supose 10h gain setting help a lot).

These are some seriously tight DI's. The EM 89 sounds better IMO.

How it came about, I'm using a Hughes&Kettner Triamp MkII on Channel 3b, using a randall Iso cab with Celstion 30 speaker, a Sennheiser 421D pointed at the cone and a SM57 on the edge of the cone offaxis. The 421D is using a A12 mic pre and the 57 is a N72 mic pre, then straight into the Digi003 Rack+. nothing was added to the amp and the 57 recordings are about -2.1db compared to the 421D settings. I only used 1 set of DI's for left and right.

Did another recording of this song, but this time also used the 2nd pair of DI's and mixed them all together, 6 tracks of guitar. Added polish to this one also, like some verb and EQ, especially a Highpass filter at 160hz because my cab gets woofy pretty bad.

Not an actual reamp, just ran the DI's through some VST's. I know, cheating... but at least I can see what it's like putting quality DI's through em'.
