disappointment

as i was reading the lyrics of Lights Out, i thought of how disappointed it all sounded. i read that in Anathema's work as well.
i write the same at times, so do others in these forums.
that's probably why we've all been drawn towards the same bands.

what's (not necessairily) wrong with us? what the fuck happened? and (why) do we attract such people around us?
is it the energy? do we need each other to be comforted by a sweet stroke over the back?
