I've been a fan for years, and Night's Blood is up there with one of my favorite songs ever done. So now ol' Jonboy is out of prison and ready to reclaim his alleged throne. Am I the only one with a problem that the guy is a convicted murderer? I guess he never admitted (in court anyway) that he did it, but here are his comments on the ordeal, from the official website:

"To all those brainwashed, ignorant fools condemning the killing and stating their opinions concerning me or Vlad, I just want to say: Fuck you! Who are you to judge anyone?!"

Well, Jonboy, who are you to escape judgment? Besides the fact that your statement is a judgment on an entire group of people, but I suppose that's getting too much into semantics.

Any thoughts on this, or er... oh yeah, the excellent music he created in the past?

I've seen this argument on various forums before...I find it hard to respect one's music when that person also happens to be a convicted, and judging by that statement unrepentant, murderer...

I refused to watch Lennox Lewis pummel Mike Tyson (convicted rapist) and I feel uncomfortable watching the Naked Gun movies due to the presence of a certain OJ Simpson (even though he was found innocent)....



Has anyone seen a Roman Polanski movie? Or how about that recent horror flick, Jeepers Creepers?

I'm just wondering how many weirdos are out there in the 'entertainment' business (whether convicted or not)....and we just don't know (or choose to care)!!?

As for Dissection, I love them and can't wait for the new record.

If I personally knew every member of every band I listened to, and then judged the band on actions by or ideology of the band member, my cd collection would be much much smaller.

I don't think I have as much of a problem with the dude for killing (from what I understand it was Vlad who actually pulled the trigger anyhow), it's the fact that he's a total jerk about it. I couldn't imagine hanging out with the dude after a show, you know what I mean?

About Roman Polanski, I think he's a pussy for fleeing the country, but the broad's mom allowed it to happen, and also the broad herself (who is like 35 now) says she's fine with it. She probably just misses the rich dick is all.
