By the way, are Symphony X pretty good? If so, what's a killer 1st album to get?

I suggest Divine Wings of Tragedy, or V The New Mythology.

Those are very good albums to begin with if you want to try out Symphony X.

winterheart's guild is good, but not quite as good as their first 2 albums.... not enough guitar solos, and way too much lyrics and vocal arrangements... which suck live because tony can't sing 3 lines at once.

the solo exchanges in "champagne bath" are fuckin awesome tho!!!
