Do the songs on Damnation sound anything like "A Fair Judgement" off of Deliverance?

I love that song and if Damnation consisted of 8 such songs, mellow but focused, I can see myself digging it quite a lot.

heh, it doesn't sound like that song at all......I would probably like it more if it did.

It's very proggy, mellow, no hard riffs whatsoever, dark - eerie atmosphere.

It think it was one of 10 songs that was made for damnation but it and another song got cut away... but I dunno it's just what I've heard since I haven't download anything still waiting!

ah, that's cool I suppose. I really love the ending to Mordet... but i'm guessing most of the cd is like that.

I hoped that Damnation would sound like Mordet i Grottan, but it doesn't... Damnation is ALOT darker and less upbeat... and no ass-ripping metal solo in the songs either hehe, all good though, Damnation is a great album.

To Rid The Disease also has an awesome ending, and I was expecting Damnation to be melancholic, Windowpane, Closure, and Hope Leaves among others are certainly among the most bleak songs in the Opethian catalogue...
