do you buy merch from local/unsigned bands?

Hey everyone, this is something I've always been curious in. With just about every band that is not on a big label, merch is the way they get by.

So, do you make an effort to always support undergound bands by buying their stuff? And if you do, what do you usually buy? (t-shirts, CD's, patches, stickers, beanies.... etc)

I'm curious to see what sort of norms exist for this sort of thing.

Whenever I'm particularly impressed with a band we play with, I buy a shirt.

I do. There're lots of unknown great bands. Usually I love their merch even more than popular ones'.

Sick, right on guys, thank you so much for answering.

I asked, because Angeldeath is going to be making a merch investment in the near future, and being the great blasphemous community we are here, I figured this would be a good place to ask to get a representative sample of what people usually buy.

So, aside from CD's (duh), would you guys suggest that our best bets for merch would be: T-shirts, beanies/winter hats, and then maybe patches?
