Do you play in a band ?

I tried recording Brevis infectus Vita today (big long song) uising a different set up to my usual stuff but I just got angered. An entire afternoon and nothing useable came out of it what-so-ever. :p

The cost of experimenting it would seem. Other than that, still writing songs.

i had an annoying rehearsal yesterday, my guitar just sucks everytime i try to play something in the high stings (like a solo for expample) i don't hear anything becouse the pick ups just suck. I have to use a very stong noise gate all the time and it just kills the sound after couple of seconds. I really need a new guitar but alas no money on the horizon even though i work all the time and it is really frustrating. Plus my band is constantly slowing my songs down, it is always too fast or too distorted or too loud, my god we would be playing smooth jazz if they had their say.
Anyway if things go as planned we will record out first EP in a couple of months and although i know it will probably suck i will be glad to get this songs recorded since we've been spinning in circles for a year now. We still have to decide on a name and Beheading The Two Headed Evil is NOT an option :)

That is extremely good, if only myspace didn't suck, I could listen to the whole songs. You guys really remind me of Vile, although a lot more melodic. I love the brutal vocals. :headbang:

Here's my band. Keep in mind that we have to re-record the vocals, and that this is still the rough mix. Conniption fit represents our newer style, and a more melodic one will be up in a week.

I'm not in any band but I've been on the lookout for musicians for quite a while now (I write songlyrics and I growl very well)

i'm glad to hear that the weather in england has a sense of drama and produces a nice blizzard everytime it is supposed to :)
 
My solo project is back in production after a lil rest and some focus on my actual band. (I know, as this isn't band related it's sort of off topic.

Song: 'Occasus Infectus' from the Brevis Infectus vita EP is complete.

it was meant to have vocals, and still may yet. I'm currently formulating lyrics.

I will put it up on my site sometime in the near future. If the vocals turn out good on this bizatch I'm getting signed and distributed... It's actually sounding pretty pro now with my Uni sound knowledge/past recording experiences.

The EP is going to be a 25-30min long 3-4 track concept about knowing one day you'll have eventually watched all your loved ones and idols die (or at least had to bear their tragic death), and in the end someone will have to bear your departure from life.

More news will follow.

A freind of mine standing next to me now thinks the same,When usaly listening to a song i focus on the vocals but now it seams i had been missing the entire song.Even without a voice i love all 4 songs i downloaded.PLZ keep me posted when you add up vocals,I am realy interested in that sound the past 2 years.

I was thinking about the same thing, but Ill never get to that. I have it all in my head, including tons of melodies and riffs, but...

:) Nothing makes me glader than knowing my music has entertained someone. as always I will surely keep you posted in either this thread, the "creativity" thread or the "check out this band" thread. Thanks for checking it out.

It's brutal, technical and heroic. Drums fuck up in a couple of places, but mainly it's ace.

The outro has been edited for comedy purposes. You'll know what I mean when you hear it. It makes me think mortal combat.
