Do you use a noise suppressor pedal (eg Boss NS-2) in your guitar recording chain?

A good noise suppressor doesn't degrade tone. Going in and editing guitars is not only a pain in the ass but makes it feel even more artificial in my opinion.

In all seriousness, I usually cut the noise later when editing / preparing the tracks.

The NS-2 definitely changes the top end a tiny bit by just being in the chain; tends to make things a touch brighter IME.

Interesting. I figured, if anything, it'd make the tone more dull. I haven't used one in my recording chain in years but I pretty much almost have to use it live. Was thinking about snagging a Decimator one of these days....
