what do you all due to keep drums in tune throughout a whole session? If you spend a couple of days getting drum sounds then a week or 2 tracking drums. they're gonna drift. so how do you keep the tuning consistent? My drummer buddy says the only cure is to tune higher, and I like really low toms.

make samples? even if you don't use the samples, you can use them to reference the tunning later. also you could use a drum dial/tension watch, and tune to whatever when necessary.

Tune per song. It really does not matter song to song as long as it is constent through out one song.
