i pan from drummers view... but what kills me as when an engineer pans toms from audience view but hat and ride from drummers view

I allways pan from the drummers perspective.

it doesn't matter to me... left or right... that assumes you know and think about if the drummer is left or right handed while listening.

but I do make sure the OH and all other close mics are panned the same way
