@rahvin: I think this is more interesting, after all that poll method isn't too different from the "best song from album x" polls a while back. This way all of the votes won't pool into some obvious winners.

@Final Vision: "I like how it was day to end vs. archetype". Yeah, neither one of them is a real song

@Villain: There isn't anything random here, I paired the songs based on which should go together. I tried to pair up songs with similar moods, to make them easier to compare, and avoiding too obvious pairs (eg. Punish - Archetype) or too hard ones in the first round (Punish - Lethe), so only the best make it into the next round. I tried to make it varied, so I avoided pairing up songs from the same albums too much.

5. In Tears Bereaved (the two worst songs from Skydancer!)

7. Hedon (ridiculously easy)
8. Through Ebony Archways (damn, this was the hardest this far)

10. Insanity's Crescendo (not too hard)
11. Edenspring (rather easy, once again)
12. The Dividing Line (this was harder)

you are doing progress that's why i say there is still hope
but on ther other hand maybe you did so cause it is less painful while studying,since the biggest (maybe all) your concentration is focused on your studying and not on the song
