How did I know this was you before I even saw "Chris" ..........Hurt me, hurt me, right? It's about time ya'll woke up and made it to PP. Geez!

I was all set to leave in the morning. Had my tix, my hotel (Crowne Plaza- real nice ). I just can't drive 16 hours and then take a chance that Atlanta will be under water. Though I do feel that I am being somewhat of a coward. Timing couldn't be worse but from what I have been reading I am certainly in good company. For those that make it have an awesome time and stay safe.

I don't blame anyone for not wanting to drive in the rain, especially those coming from the LA/AL area. However, even if it rained 8 inches from the Tropical Depression Ivan, Atlanta would not flood. We are on elevated land with no river in sight. I don't know what you have been reading, but the latest projections have us looking good. Sorry you can't make it.

i wonder how bad it'll be if i drove through this... i'm seriously contemplating it, but i don't want to get stranded. i've only driven out of state once before, and that was to houston... and the traffic is HELL here... took me an hour and a half to get home from work, whereas it's usually 20 minutes.

That's it. I'm turning off the weather channel and their storm-kissing posers and subscribing to Harvester.net. I will fly to this event no matter what. I'm just crossing a few things off my packing list, i.e. curling iron, hair spray, etc. LOL.

Though I dare say, this flight may make the Six Flags Nitro rollercoaster look like a kidde-ride. I'll be in serious need of medication when it's over. Hmm, shall we have a new drink for PP5? The Harvester Hurricane - JD and....?

I was still in San Diego in 89 so I didn't feel that one, but got a good buzzz from the Northridge quake. I'm flying out early thursday as well. See ya there!

Checking the latest forecast, it looks like we are in for some rain but that it will be on the way out on Friday. I am not worried about the trip down from Tennesee, so much as trying to figure out a way to get my stuff to and from Earthlink Live to the Fairfield Inn without getting it wet :)

One thing is certain: we can bank on this being a wet ProgPower. Those of you who were at the first PPUSA in Lansing are no strangers to wet, windy ProgPowers. I'll never forget the flight out from O'Hare after that first PP, with the plane very obviously rocking in the wind while sitting at the gate.

I'm considering putting away my leathers for this show....don't want to get them too soaked. :(
