Go Team!

Hey just kidding! Whatever happens....I sincerely hope we can learn to get along together...

So far things are sucking a$$ in this blue state, but what did I expect! Our new governor wants to give drivers licenses and college tuition to illegal aliens.. WTF! Those issues can go on the ballot in 08, let the people decide. Then again, letting the people of Massachusetts decide anything is freakin dangerous! We're doomed, Dooooomed! (in my best Dr Smith impersonation)

This is the beginning of the end, a disaster, what's left of this country and it's sovereignty our grand children will never forgive it. Able Danger, illegal invasion and jimmy carter lesson two is what's in store.

Now Rumsfleds resigning....Its turning out to be a very good week ! :)

"It was a thumpin," President Bush told reporters at a White House news conference.

Sheer poetry.

This is exaclty why I'm a Madisonian in the philosophical divide between Madison and Jefferson. Jefferson believed a democracy works best when all voice their opinion. Madison feared that an un-restricted democracy would lead to a mobocracy because the average voter does not understand the real effect of his vote.

This is exactly why I refrained from voting this year. I didn't have the time to weigh the issues (heck, I've been out of state half the year), and I wasn't about to haphazardly vote. The last thing I want is to regret my vote because I didn't take the time to educate myself.

Now, on a lighter note, I have to say that I find local politics very interesting wherever I go. Right now I'm in Georgia, and the topics of CAFTA, gay rights, liberalism, and immigration are dirty words. In Washington state's metro areas, these aren't immediate dirty words, but subjects of real debate.

I do have to say I need to give a thumbs up to Seattle. :headbang: They rejected the "lap dance initiative" which would have forced exotic dancers to stay at least four feet away from the customers. :err:

It's actually the words "Illegal Immigration" that's a dirty word; I wouldn't want to give twisted words legitimacy…

What do you guys think of the Libertarian party? Check out:
http://www.lp.org/issues/issues.shtml

Just curious because we don't hear too much about it. Don't be afraid to be honest! :) It's great getting different points of view from everyone!
Libertarian principles are what the founding fathers stood for. The problem is that while a government that governs least governs best, times have changed. I like their principles of civil liberties, but I think the government needs a solid economic role. Yes, I'm a Dem. :loco: However, I look to libertarian principles first before I support government action.

Really, though. I think I am treading water talking politics in a forum that should be about common fanship of particular band.
