England 3 - Argentina 2

No, 9th in the world. Shame they don't get the domestic support they need, but that's ok because most of their best players play overseas now.

Brazil = 1. Argentina = 2. England are 7th or something.

The next World Cup is going to be a good 'un, especially with the Germans hosting and being shit these days.

Seriously, don't you remember the last world cup??? That opening game between the US and Portugal where the US won 3-2 will go down in history as one of the most exciting games in the tournament. Brilliant stuff.

Shame they lost to Germany because they deserved to win. That's the thing about tournaments though, everyone has a shot even teams like the Ivory Coast or Bahrain. Well maybe not everyone. :loco:

If I can tie in Wacken '06 with a game or two in Germany, that would be quite a cool summer.

I kind of remember the U.S. losing to Germany (did they get hosed on a bad call?), but really, I don't remember much at all, including that game vs. Portugal. Ah well.

So you're hitting up Wacken, eh? Wish I could afford that trip again. :err:

No plans for Wacken - just thinking that if there were plans to go to Europe (where I'll probably go to London anyway to see my family) I could tie in a week or so in the Fatherland.

With that said, I think I'm more interested in the "Gods of Metal" show in Italy these days, and of course Italy >>>>>> Germany.

I didn't see the game, but like that result. Better than the US' draw w/ Scotland. Should have done better. And that USA v Portugal game was amazing. I watched it live and was going absolutely apeshit.

Yeah, when I'm not supporting England I'll happily support the US. They could have beaten Scotland today, but they looked like a young side...it's ok to experiment in the friendlies I suppose.

The England game was phenomenal. I haven't seen England play that well since we beat Holland in Euro 96.

Was the England game shown on a non-ppv channel? That's a hell of a win, even without the rivalry.

The US' problem is that they have a player pool that is deep as hell, but not many players who are going to make a difference. Ching was pretty bad today. Not sure who will take McBride's spot once he hangs it up.

Looking forward to the WC draw. Less than a month now.

No, PPV unfortunately. Yeah, great win, especially with England down 2-1 at the 88th minute.

This would be an awesome group:

Brazil
USA
Iran
Saudi Arabia

:tickled:

Brazil would be that final 'kick in the teeth' so to speak. :loco:
