Euro Cup 2008

They were really, really poor compared to their first game. Sweden played their part in that, but it was their own fault too.

Harsh to lose in the last minute, but Spain probably deserved it. Sweden played so deep they could never win it themselves in the second half, and a bit of genius from Villa sealed it.

Hooray for Russia on their win ... the Greeks simply suck I wish they catch a cold in hell !

His knee was feeling a bit strange. He had an injury on it towards the end of the Serie A season. I think it was a plan to take him off at half time.

I think Russia could still beat Sweden. With Arshavin back they might be able to score a goal or two.

Yeah, he's been pretty awesome. He's had a good season and Inter, and scored a couple of great goals in the final game of the season. When he's off the pitch Sweden have no outlet for goals, so they play deep and strangle the game a little.

A problem we had in the second half was that Larsson got tired a bit fast. His performance in the first half was pretty good, even if he played down in the defense alot. But in the second half he was noticably tired so not as much happened on the offensive side.

Yep, and Rosenberg just does not have the chops to do anything. Not that he was receiving much help, but he doesn't have that strain of genius.

My money is on Russia to win 2-1.

I agree.

What sorta sucks now is that the final round of group games are all on at the same time, which means we now gotta choose which game to watch. :erk:

That group will be monstrously even. I hope France beat Holland just to make it insane for the last round hehe

And you're next!

I hope holland beats france so the last game between italy and france is monstrous, and there is no incentive for the dutch to really try against romania.

Van Basten only needs to put up a B-team and lose from Romania.
Then it's bye bye to Italy and France.
It'll be Russia or Sweden that shall encounter an orange slaughter.

Way to go the Netherlands!
