Well, arguably just two. The Klose goal came from AWFUL goalkeeping on the part of Rustu. Only Schweinsteiger's and Lahm's goals were created by the Germans themselves.

you dont think Turkey played better? They had like 3:1 on shots I gotta hear why, especially with like 4 starters out and 8 total missing the game

dont know. turks seemed very harmless all in all (still made two goals which shows more the weakness of the german defense than anything else) ...

I thought the Turks were pretty ace. Considering the weakened team they were full of energy and had some creative force.

The Turks were a joy to watch in this tournament. In fact, they were a joy in WC 2002 as well, which was the first time I'd ever paid attention to them. Simply put, they just don't give up, and if you think they're finished, well look out, because they'll come back again and again.

With all the injuries and the inability to put in other strong players due to player suspensions, the core squad had to play longer than they normally would, and by the end it showed. German players with fresh legs had the speed advantage and they got it done, but only just. If Turkey had had their 3 top players (which as the TV commentator pointed out is the equivalent of Germany having to play without Ballack, Podolski and Schweinsteiger) I think they'd have won this game hands down.

I really hope Turkey qualifies for WC 2010, and also that Russia beats Spain today, and then hands Germany their own head on a silver platter on Sunday.

football time again... (= i can be pretty neutral in this match because i honestly dont care who'll meet germany in the finals. both teams played better than germany the whole tournament. my guess is that russia will win this match based on the quarter finals ...

The game yesterday was not so bad, especially considering some of the other games in the tournament. This one is nicely set up though, if it stays sorta even till the latter stages, everything could go crazy.
