Logically Germany would win this because of their solid playing and allround quality. Italy has a tendency to go far no matter how disappointing they play. I have a hard time seeing France get anywhere in the cup though.

Croatia seems like a dangerous outsider if they play like they did in the start against Austria. They would've needed Eduardo in the attack though.

Yep, I really can't see past the bigger teams for winning this. I don't think any outsiders will have a chance.

I think so too. Croatia and/or Romania could surprise but in the end a big team will take it.

I didn't get to watch any games and I'm pissed, but oh well.
I was suprised Italy lost 3-0. I think the absence of Canavaro is felt in the Italian defensive line. If the dutch are going to keep playing the way they do, I agree from the highlights on espn that france really doesn 't have a chance against the dutch. So as it is now in order for Romania to qualify they ought to beat the Italians (hard, but it might be harder than beating the Dutch, although we did in the qualifying rounds) and tie against the dutch. It is half realistic, provided that france and italy keep playing like shit and romania improves. I mean Romania can barely pass the ball around and tied the french, that is actually depressing for the french.

I'd still say Italy and The Netherlands should qualify from that group. Kudos to Romania for frustrating France, but the French were playing exceptionally badly. Italy played OK, but the Dutch just had something extra.

If we take this first set of games as a standard, then I'd expect The Netherlands and Italy to beat France, and for both of them to overcome Romania.
