I dunno - all that slick production, the vocal harmonies, the synths... they sound pretty glammy to me.

They didn't really use a synth until their later material. The self-titled disc is definitely not glam.

Listen, I may have listed some bands who might be a tiny stretch, but there's no doubt that they easily fit into the mold. All of those bands wore makeup, all of them wore tight as leather pants, all of them wrote catchy songs with hardly any substance to them, thus why they are on the list.
