^Some thoughts...TGE and Doomsday Machine both came out on the same day, both were Andy, both used recto and Krank, and both are my favorite guitar tones of all time. Of course most of the sound is in the hands of Jeff and Michael (who happen to be together now in Arch Enemy). But the Krank/Recto combination is crucial as well, and just gets me wet fucken all over just thinking about the sound.

If my memory serves me well that was july 2005 when they came out. This forum was a much different place then.

Exhibit B, and an honorable mention to Blood of the Nations. From the moment I heard Exhibit B, it became my favorite guitar tone ever, and basically has been the reason I own the gear that I do today, and play the way I do.
