This comes from 'El Dorado' and takes place just after a big shootout, with John Wayne (Cole) and James Caan (Mississippi) providing the dialogue

Cole) Did you get him?
Mississippi) Who?
Cole) The fella that ran outta the church!
Mississippi) Well, yes and no.
Cole) Yes and no? Did you or didn't you?
Mississippi) I hit the sign, and the sign hit him.

Well there are many ..this is a dialogue in the film " 8 1/2" between the main hero ( a film director who lost his inspiration) and a cardinal
director: I want to be happy .. why i cannot be happy?
cardinal: And who told you that you came to this world to be happy?
well its not exactly like this .. but you all got the point made.. you have to see it to admire it in all its glory.
