Favorite Non-Metal band?

I was jsut wondering what everyone's favorite non metal band is?

Tea Party is got to be my favorite.

They are awesome! The vocals are amazing, Jeff sings with great passion in his voice, and the arrangements within the songs are impressive.

Anyone else care to share?

Tricky and Massive Attack.
Massive Attack wrote my favorite song: 'Protection'. Splendid lyrics, and call me a helpless romantic guy.
Great non metal albums are, in my opinion:

David Bowie:Earthling
Joy Division:Unknown Pleasures
Tricky:Nearly God
Morcheeba:Big Calm
Massive Attack:Mezzanine
VAS:Into the garden of souls
Neil Young: Dead Man Soundtrack

Also great classic music composer are Dvoràk, Rachmaninov, Holst, Ravel and Mussorgsky.

I like that genesis song "Land of Confusion".

Also I like Smashing Pumpkings, all the way up to Melancholy and the Infinite Sadness. Hated Ava Adore..... they had some damn great songs tho, Tonight, Tonight, 1979.

also Crash Test Dummies

indeed massive attack is a great band and protection is such a wondefull song, just like teardrop, but at the moment I'm quite into britsh bands like coldplay whose cd parachutes is my fave at the moment!

And the belgian band K's Choice is also one of my faves right now, especially their songs "believe" "not an addict" and "almost happy" are really cool.

And Radiohead have also made some great songs, like street spirit! This song is one of the saddest songs I ever heard!!!

I don't like Radiohead very much, if I have to say the naked truth, but some songs by them are indeed really nice.

I love Teardrop by Massive Attack, too, but Protection is special for me. The lyrics say MUCH of how I feel towards that topic...

Other great songs are Risingson and Angel.
I also suggest everyone to check the video of Karmacoma. It's really interesting IMO.

ARISE FROM THORNS!!!!!!!

Fucking incredible shit! This is the ONLY band that can play an acoustic style of light alternative non-metal music and make it actually sound GOOD!......They kinda remind me of the Cranberries and that kinda stuff but unlike those shitty bands, ARISE FROM THORNS makes it sound mature and not all cheesy.

There 2nd album "Before an audience of stars" is a masterpiece.

Other than that Mortiis, Wongraven, Lysogeny, and Onerios is the only form of non-metal music I like.
