So I know some of you like other stuff besides metal. I listen to about 99%
metal all the time, but occasionally I do listen to something else.

My favorite non-metal band is The Police. I loved these guys when I was younger and I still like to listen to them on occasion. Great musicians and songwriters IMO. Who's yours?

Lots of stuff. Melissa Etheridge, late 60s/early 70s non-metal stuff (Janis, Jimi, Eric, Eagles, BTO, etc.), Elvis will always be cool. I've got a real soft spot for the early days of R 'n' R and Mowtown -- it's innocent and classic. Then there's some Blues stuff. My wife's into the Blues a fair bit so I glom that stuff off her. We just recently discovered Fat Possum Records and picked up some Asie Payton, Junior Kimbrough, and Mississippi John Hurt. Good stuff, all three.

toss up between Depeche Mode and The Cure

love all kinds of music and my mood dictates what I'll be listening to. With so many shows coming up I've been busy listening to those bands I'm going to see soon.

Hmmm, depends where is the metal cut-off. Most probably

The Flower Kings
Pink Floyd
Cab
Rick Wakeman

Freezepop all the way, man. their "music" is so fucking funny. Listen to the song Sprite, and if you dont laugh, or smile, then you have no soul

Other than punk. Been listening to a lot of A Perfect Circle's Thirteenth Step
a nice album to put you in a mellow mood along with your favorite recreational
"stuff".
yes, APC and Tool is about all my buddy listens to while we're....."recreating" I think would be the right word for recreational acts..... :tickled:

I would almost forgive you for not worshipping the mighty Priest :D ... Almost :D j/k

Seriously, I'm also into early David Bowie, 70's prog rock, stuff like that... and Elvis.
