Favorite pinched harmonic!

I thought pinched and artificial harmonics are the same thing. Wtf? Are you talking about Natural and Artificial?

I would say that ph's are more crazy sounding. ah's are more plain, then ph's a lot of the time have crazy rapid vibrato or wide vibrato which is absolutely killer. If you were to compare it in a physical sense an ah would be like pushing someone, and ph's would be like giving them an almighty fucking shove so hard that they travel all the way round the world and hit u right in the back!!! Well the awesome ones anyway, lol.

I think artificial is the more correct term. Pinched tends to be more of a term used by metallers and alike, and in our genre we do them better than say a classical guitarist who would do boring harmonics, hence my previous explanation :p.

Ok, we all know pinched harmonics are cool and they vary almost every time. I know it would be impossible to pick a favorite but we could just list them as we find them.

I'll start off with Awakenings at 3:39-3:40 approx. I think that one's really wicked.

Speaking of Awakenings, at 3:02, there's a sweet one - and right after one of my favourite parts in music of all time :)

I've been addicted to the pinch at 3:48 in The Root of All Evil by DT. And Romeo in general has amazing pinch-harmonic-awesome-timing-sense, so most of his pinches I tend to find pretty friggin sweet.

What's this thing in "incantations of the apprentice" in the 2nd 2nd verse
during the "Lakes of Fire" part? I'm not sure but is this some harmonic stuff
as well?

No it's not harmonic, but it's cool as hell! I never noticed that before, holy shit that's fast! Sounds like legato on the lower octaves to me.

Didn't know exactly, since you can't hear it really well, at least I can't.

But it goes quite high then in the middle and I think thats some pinched harmonic stuff.
