Without my favourite pinch harmonic of all time - when i saw him play it live back in '05 he missed it! Having a listen atm, the one at 0:37 isnt half bad either haha

I can't believe I missed that one either... I saw him do it on my Steve Vai, Live @ THe Astoria London dvd today, but in the audio commentary he says he overdubbed that one cos he missed it in the actual concert!!! He must miss that one quite a bit...

I thought about it, and I decided screw pinch harmonics. I found the best harmonic to fuck around with on my Ibanez RG-350 DX with the Whammy bar:

Right above the bridge-facing coil of the neck pickup, if you hit that harmonic on the G string and use teh whammy bar, it's just so fun, it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

its a hell of a lot tougher to do with most equipment, but you can do some really cool things with pinch or artificial tapped harmonics with clean tones too...
