What is your favorite Symphony X release??

Here is how mine goes:

1. DWOT :Smug:
2. V: The New Mythology Suite
3. The Odyssey :hotjump:
4. Twilight In Olympus/Damnation Game :dopey:
5. Self Titled :loco:

@Wayne- ahh yes, it could definitely change... for you at least Hah. I love the title track too, Silent Song. Its perhaps my favorite SX song along with The Odyssey, Acollade and The Communium and the Oracle

Here's my listing:

1. V
2. The Divine Wings of Tragedy
3. The Damnation Game / Twilight in Olympus
4. Symphony X
5. The Odyssey

1. DWOT
2. Twilight in Olympus
3. V
4. The Odyssey
5. Damnation Game
6. Symphony X

It's hard to pick favorite, sometimes it could be Damnation Game or something else...

Dang, I must be doing something right. Now all we need is The Yngster to show up with a list that's completely inverted from mine... ;)

I voted for TDG...The Edge of Forever>Every song ever written, but it ties with Viellecht Das Nachste Mal-Rainbow..maybe

I LOVE Damnation Game. Edge of Forever is such a beautiful song, and I love other tracks such as Dressed to Kill, Whispers, and Winter's Dream. However, as a whole, I think V is much better. I can't say that any track on V is weaker than any other, as I believe they are all equally solid.

Albums:
1. Divine Wings of Tragedy
2. V
3. Damnation Game
4. The Odyssey
5. Twilight in Olympus

Edge of Forever and Candlelight Fantasia are probably the two most beautiful songs in metal from what I have heard so far.

This would be a nice thread to sticky. The votes would be reset a few weeks after a new album comes out.

hard to choose because at times I love one album over the others, while at other times I'm in love with another.

I guess the album I've listening to the most is V, because I let it roll from beginning to end since it's a concept album. I love how it starts and flows through all the songs then ends with the best song on the album, "Rediscovery Part II," that also has a beautiful ending.
