Favourite movie soundtrack

Man there are some shitty soundtracks in this thread.

And no-one has mentioned any of these classics:

The Piano (Michael Nyman)(best soundtrack ever)
Candyman (Phillip Glass)
Koyanisqaatsi (Phillip Glass)
Blow Up (Herbie Hancock)
Suspiria (Goblin)
Vertigo (Bernard Herrman)
anything with Sergio Leone/Ennio Morricone

Oldboy - Yeong Wook Jo

Legend of the 1900 - Ennio Morricone

Pirates of the Carribean - Klaus Badelt

Metal Gear Solid 2 : Sons of Liberty - Harry Gregson-Williams (It's a videogame, but has the production values of a movie)

Synecdoche, New York
Suicide Circle
A Clockwork Orange
All Night Long (obscure japsploitation film, deserves a mention for the theme song alone)
Cannibal Holocaust
Pi, Requiem for a Dream, The Fountain, Moon
And some Morricone soundtracks.

^Still need to see that.

The Road

By far the best movie soundtrack I've ever heard.

Really? That's awesome. I liked it as well, but lots of people hated it, calling it intrusive and too embellished. I didn't find it intrusive at all, and in fact realized I couldn't remember having heard a single bit of music an hour into the movie.

Good call.

More on the Nick Cave love: The Proposition. Absolutely incredible soundtrack.
