Ok there are too many to list because my ENTIRE favourite band list is 80s bands! Except for maybe 2 hahaha. I have about 100 really. Anything glam/hair metal or shock rock, anything trad. heavy metal, anything hard rock/metal, and some 80s thrash.

Honestly, I cant pick one band from the 80s- there are literally thousands of killer bands -most of which i am still trying to discover. although I love some new(not NU) age metal bands, 80s thrash,traditional and power is still my favorite genre/era of metal.. and I am really glad to see that some of the new comers are going back to the roots as far as compositions and style.

GRAVESTONE are indeed a great band. They had three albums out. I have "Creating A Monster" LP, but i have heard "Back To Attack". I have heard their first also, which i don't remember its name. I like all three of them. If you liked BTA you will surely like the other two as well. Esp. CAM.

Yeah...
Cirith Ungol were truly progressive, as they established an unique sound. I have all their albums (except this latest CD )

And Griffin is great too. Both "Protectors of the lair" and "Flight of the Griffin" are awesome albums.

Fates Warning simply released some of the best Metal LPs ever.
