yea, i used to be a grip and also did some PA work for Hustler, Cinemaplay and Spice Studios about 5 years ago, and trust me, most of the bitches that hit the make up chair are around the 4-6 range before and about a high 7 after. One of my friends used to work the boom mic for a couple different people and he got me plugged in. Freelance, used to get broken off anywhere from $140 to $350 at the end of each day.
