Thanx John!
And what's the name of a band you engineer? :)

Well The Album session I have coming up is a group Called - Intronaut. There like mastadon meets neurosis meets Cynic - Great Stuff.

I worked with many bands on many albums - Dreams of Damnation, Scars of Tomorrow, Abysmal Dawn, Eyes Of Fire, Phobia, Winterthrall, Noctuary, Coffin Text - just to name a few. (I feel like I'm Name dropping so I'm gonna stop!):loco:

So you say you'll try to record some more. If you don't mind, I'll post a wantlist :D

1) Several cymbal samples: china, dark, bright, fast - 4-6 different samples with a very long decay space for each
2) Hihat with long decay (I simply cannot state how much I hate all the so-called professional samples in official kits where open hihat is at most 2 seconds long and even then it is cut out with the pedal :Shedevil: )
3) Fourth tom, something between a 12" rack tom and 16" floor tom sound-wise
4) A good dark ride with long decay
5) A tightly tuned snare, one sample set for strong single hits and one with less force for blastbeat parts
6) And a ghost-note snare sample (a very easy hit)

Lots of demands :D

Of course having 10 samples for each would be nice ;) I don't mind if they're on the same single wav per each drum, I can cut them myself - and that way I can also pick which samples to use ;)

hell yeah - cymbals do tend to suck on sample packages - i know alot of people prefer to keep original cymbal mics in a session - but if like me you are poor and can't even afford a drum session - it would be nice to have good cymbals to work with. not many just enough - like has been said above - dark china, bright china, crash ride that doesn't suck and a few accent cymbals plus a ride that doesn't sound like a tonka toy being hit with a spoon.

Here are just a few drumsamples, I've done myself in the studio :

Please not those samples are totally raw (no EQ, no comp, no FX...)

I didn't had the time to get more samples from my drums, but I'll post here a great variety of new samples soon, with different drums, snares, stick attacks, etc. !

The converters are a MOTU HD192 (we now have it clocked with an Apogee BigBen and it improves a lot ! I'll post some new samples soon).
