ConservativeWarrior said:Yes how dare those Frenchy fags stand up against a proposal that would make it easier for companies to fire workers even if they are doing a good job.
Those French are so selfish and greedy, like when they won the American Revolution for us and then gave us the stupid Statue Liberty. Worthless France.
Well I dont know how it works in Europe, but retirement age in the US is around 55. And any large business will have a turnover rate (retirements etc) and the youth influx will be there. When going for a job youth is a big attraction to employers, with the thought of being able to create a great worker who will stay with them. That is what companies want, not alot of turnover. Not people who stay for two years then bolt out.Arg_Hamster said:The thing they are protesting against is different standards if you are under the age of 26 (in other words a form of discrimination), the government and business say they do it to create more jobs. But no matter how noble the cause is they do it by infringing on a group of peoples rights. How about putting these laws to use for 40-65 year olds who are comfortable and lazy at work so they can be kicked out and new work-hungry can be hired? No, a proposition like that would be called unethical.
