Funniest thing ever .. probably

hm
yes
now give me the answer please

I think you're beeing a bit one-dimensional here; "satan" is a pretty abstract notion and does not solely mean screaming "Satan, my master!" although some less than bright bands do so. Satan is (used as) the concept of rebellion, individualism, thus we have a lot of lyrics that would fall under the umbrella and quite a hard time defining it all ;)

Somehow i think that Mayhem and Darkthrone did not see it that way back there

...and not all black metal bands have to have the exact same views of what Satan is and represents either, but black metal is Satanic.

Perhaps, and perhaps not. Either way it's pretty useless speculating about it.
And besides, there's of course nothing "wrong" if they didn't, as in believing in an eternal enemy of the christan god etc etc.

Hahahahehehe, I was going along with that until I noticed his thumb sticking outwards....and then at the end it admitted to being a joke.

So either way, this Witchcraft/Coven thingy still came out before Dio or KISS....
Yeh, you're right of course, interesting!

What i meant is
The bands i mentioned didnt care to "believe in an eternal enemy of the christian god". What i think is that they cared only to write "FUCKIN EVIL LYRICS" without any heavy thinking about them. This falls under the umbrella "i am doing so many crappy pretentious things" - where the norsk arisk thingie is too.

Mock Bathory again and I shall never deliver your Lethal Demolition! (ok bla bla ok)

This was probably mroe or less true about most first wave black metal bands, with Euronymous and Dead it changed. (If you're still speaking about Mayhem, that is)

Yeah, the Norwegian bands probably burned churches and killed people so forth only because it was FUCKEN EVIL and not because it was actually something they believed in, I'm sure. The whole thing about the second wave of black metal was that it transformed black metal, that had previously been bands only writing "fuckin evil lyrics" (Venom, Bathory, Hellhammer, Sodom) into something that actually had ideological depth, and where the bands actually BELIEVED in what they were talking about, and made those words into action as well.

I am talking about mainly all major black metal bands up to 95 perhaps. I cant believe that they really had faith in they things they did - now they are full of regrets like "haha what stupid things i did when i was younger".

Yeah, who isn't? "Haha, I can't believe I actually BELIEVED in things, oh the folly of youth, now to bathe in money and watch some mind-numbing television to forget how I am living a pathetic parody of human life without purpose or meaning"... But I digress.

New bands have picked up the ball where Mayhem (R.I.P.) dropped it, i.e. Watain, Deathspell Omega, Ondskapt, a bunch of other orthodox Satanist bands...

So you agree that the whole "belief" thing happenes just in their youth. Interesting.
Erik the bands you mentioned will probably go that way too. Some of them may even lie now thinking "haha do these people actually buy the whole satanic bullcrap".
Anyway this is probably off topic of the other off topic. What i am trying to say is that the whole thing of "black metal ideology" is a fraud. Its just music. For some of you - it is the greatest yes. I cant say anything on that. What i can say is that you have to realize that it is just A GENRE OF MUSIC. Thus the bands that are called like this are called because of the MUSIC and the FEELING of the music, not because some words in a paper.

Interesting.
I am agreeing that it is often the case that people lose their beliefs/ideology with age. You see this happening everywhere, not just black metal. People who are very idealistic with strong beliefs at a young age will probably lose it with time. You really need strong conviction and be really true to yourself to resist the spiritual decay...

VERY POSSIBLE, but simply because these bands will perhaps not believe what they say today in 10 years, does this make their current beliefs invalid? No.

I'm sorry, but I am far more knowledgeable than you about black metal, and what you're saying is bullshit. You wouldn't find agreement in the opinions of ANY important black metal musician. It's just not how it works. Black metal is more than music, period.
