Funniest thing ever .. probably

i say it all started when gene simmons realized he's got a dick.

anyone, besides erik, who thinks that the only blackmetal immortal recording is the first one?

i'm sure that THAT'S WHAT THEY WERE THINKING,when they did the cover shootings for pure holocaust and battles in the north.

"hehe let's make a non-bm album to trick those bastards!!!"

ok.this is not a flamebait.i mean it.

do you really think that pure holocaust and battles in the north along with a blaze and de mysteriis are NOT the DEFINITION of norwegian black metal?

They don't have Satanic/antichristian lyrics. Erik (and many with him) claims that you've got to have a Satanic fundament lyrically to be called black metal. He's probably right.

Why do you lump those albums together? "De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas" is black metal, "Battles in the North" is not, and it has nothing to do with how the band members look on their fucking photographs. Stop making yourself look like a complete idiot.

I cant recall Iron Maiden saying "we play heavy metal". Neither giving that answer in a question about their style
But do you recall them saying "we don't play heavy metal, we want to officially distance ourselves (on national TV) from the conception that we play heavy metal"? No? Thought not.

Immortal r HOLOCAUST METAL!!!! u r FOOLZ!!!! LOLOLOL
Right.

"Immortal released their first album in September 1992, with an icy concept focusing on the spectacular winter-nature of Norway. Enslaved too joined the revolt, and yet again we saw a new concept; they focused on the Norse heritage. For a while they wandered in the dark, not knowing what to do, before they came up with this solution. Since Darkthrone and Burzum (named Black Metal by Aarseth and DSP) had become known as Black Metal the other bands felt a need to show individuality on that front as well. Because of that Immortal claimed to play Holocaust Metal and Enslaved Viking Metal. The extreme focus on originality and individuality dictated that you could not copy - or as we said "rip-off" - others in any way."

About Iron Maiden: its the same. Usually the question is "how do you feel for being the greatest heavy metal band?" And the Steve Harris' answer "i dont think we are heavy metal" or somthing like that.
Also about Immortal:
You dont realize that the question is not what Immortal said but if you hear BLACK METAL music when you are listening to "Pure Holocaust"
