geek = metal head...

i was always the bad kid who sat at the back of the class at school and yet i still did better at work than everyone else 'cause i'm awesome enough to be cool and smart

i hate geeks btw, the metal soc at my uni is full of them

I definately have a geek-streak in me. I play lots of video games and program computer software in my spare time, but I have a pretty good social life, so it all balances out.

I don't have a social life. I sit at my computer all day, while eating potato chips and drinking soda.

This is how nerdy I am. I play computer games, play magic, when music is about swords and dragons it's even better, I'm in a computer class where all we do is hack each others computers, I'm really into swords and shit, still a virgin, I've only been to like a few parties and they weren't really parties but more social gatherings of a few friends where we got high, I love fantasy type of stuff, and know that this is a run on sentence.

Explain to us exactly why Halo sucks in specific terms plz. The nerds are becoming agitated with you. :)
Let me put it this way. Saying Halo is your favorite videogame is like saying Trivium is your favorite metal band. Derivative, soulless and ultimately boring, yet still popular as shit.

I do find Halo to be boring. But then again, I haven't played Halo 3.

The funny part about this is that I play DotA, which is pretty much the same exact map every game, besides a few changes to it every once in a while. Good thing the different heroes vary the game.

im gonna clarify what i mean by geek, cuz everyone seems pretty intent upon that.

Geek: a person who (while having some form of social life) pursues hobbies (or something of that ilk) that are seen as not "socially acceptable" or "in".

i fit this description quite well. while maintaining a pretty active social life, i play warhammer and d&d fairly avidly, and i listen to metal (which gives me 3 strikes on the socially unacceptable things to due during HS/Uni chart :p)

about Halo, i found the first one ok, but not nearly good enough to purchase (or even try for that matter) the other 2. though, im not really the person to ask because the most recent video game that i own is Soul Caliber 3, and i still only have a PS2.

@viewer_from_nihil: im inclined to second the "what?" from Belligerent. tho im a bit young (@ only 17) to really have any experience in that department. though im still quite surprised by that statement.

@ everyone else, im quite surprised by the number and variety of the responses. thanks for the great discussion, keep it up!

peace
