'Ghost of the Spring' TOUR - Your impression after the show...

About London ULU gig...

Daylight Dies was cool, old Katatonia, Paradise Lost style, very nice. Pornorphans - ah well, I don't care about. Nice chick, a bit annoying voice, ok I suppose.

Katatonia was great though, they played 15 songs, 5 from VE, 5 from LFDGD, 2 from TD, 2 from DO and Murder. Really great and long setlist. The sound on the VE songs wasn't always good, especially the guitars, but Evidence was awesome in the end.

And a big FUCK OFF to the people (club owner?) responsible for switching the lights on and turning the sound down during Murder (the last song). Fuck off with this attitude. For fuck's sake, do they have to ruin the encore (and most heavily anticipated song/moment of the evening) of the band just because they've gone a few minutes over their allocated time and the fucking place has to close? It was around 23.15 and the gig would end around 23.20. 5 more minutes. Big deal. Yet the fuck(s) ruined it. People didn't know what's going on and the band was very surprised when it happened. FUCK YOU bastard whoever you are...I waited all night to hear Murder and you ruined it. I really wanted to kill those responsible afterwards. Is this how they treat bands in ULU?

All credit to the band who kept playing even if nobody could hear much (especially Jonas' vocals). And all credit to them for playing such a long and complete setlist even if it meant running out of time in the end. Thank you guys, very much!

A big FUCK YOU again to those ULU ppl who took the decision to end the gig so abruptly and fucked up the lights and sound of the band.

Anyone else in ULU? Did you get angered by what happened in the end?
They went too far the fuckers...

About Gent Eland gig:
The gig took place in a very weird but cool place...
I was awaiting to see the Old Dead tree live, as I've heard really elogious things about their performance, but I think they suffer the comparison with Daylight Dies and Katatonia on this date...But they had the bad role of opening the evening so...
Mandragora scream had nothing to do in a gig like that, so no comment on them.
Then, Daylight Dies was just amazing...an enormous gig, soooo powerful, but still the same problem with Guthrie's vocals which are sometimes hard to hear...
Their music really takes another dimension on the stage...I would have like to hear more, but the energy they deliver wouldn't allow to make a 3 hours gig :)
I didn't attend the Mortiis gig, I went out to take some pictures with Katatonia members and have a chat with Jesse (one t-shirt bought=a free beer seems to be a good commercial policy btw!)...Mortiis show was probably a good one if you like trolls...

Then Katatonia show was amazing...my preference went to the songs of Viva emptiness which really are impressive live...The set-list was the same than the previous ones, Murder was the BMD song...
Oh, and there was not so much pocket slapping than expected...but Jonas was still sick actually :)
I really enjoyed this show, Katatonia,by its emotive attitude, & Daylight Dies, by the energy they deliver are the 2 great bands of this tour,, and amazing performers in their own way...
