'Ghost of the Spring' TOUR - Your impression after the show...

hmm some say Jonas was ill...

Mattias told me that Jonas has an infection on his left hear. He could not hear at all. I notice that during the concert he protected constantly his hear with his hand.
He also told me that after the portuguese metalfest in Barroselas they went to England to rest for some days.
Even if this tour had some troubles, with cancelled shows, bad sound in some concerts, health problems, few people in some places, etc KATATONIA still presented an excelent concert in Portugal.

They don't break ...

Ghost Of The Sun
Criminals
I break
Teargas
For My Demons
Sweet Nurse
Sleeper
I Am Nothing
Complicity
Chrome
Tonights Music
The Future Of Speech
Evidence
Muder

Interesting that they are using Criminals and Complicity as those songs gets only 2,44 % in the poll in this forum.

About time I got round to doing this...

Nottingham, 3rd May: What an excellent gig!! :D The sound wasn't too good, but I knew the songs so well anyway it didn't matter too much. I was right at the front for the whole thing, singing just about every word (not that I could even hear myself, but oh well :p). It was the same setlist as has been listed before, I think. We also got half of For Funerals To Come after a broken-string incident. :)

Daylight Dies were awesome, I enjoyed them nearly as much as Katatonia. At one point, the singer got his hair caught in a guitar, and had to finish the song like that before he could untangle it. I think he was pissed off by the end of it, the sound for them was bad and there was a bit of feedback. It was a shame they only did 3 or 4 songs, whereas the frankly shoddy Pornorphans played for longer. And I've come away with a Viva Emptiness LS, and a Daylight Dies - No Reply CD. I was gonna ask Daniel for a drumstick, but he legged it past without even looking. Oh well. ;)

@ Rusty: Did Katatonia play Deadhouse? That one seems to be played transiently and I've love to hear it, so I'm hoping...? And also, how much was the LS?

I think Deadhouse was the second last song they played. :D :headbang: The LS was £15, I think t-shirts were £10 but I'm not too sure. And the Katatonia thongs were just £5... I was tempted, if only for a laugh. :p

Saw em last night in bristol and they were top notch. Everything about the gig except pornorphans was good. Daylight Dies were awesome, so fucking good! Couldn't believe how tight and close to the album those guys sounded.

Had a chat to most of the musicians too and they were all great to talk too.
Daylight Dies, why the fuck i can't see them buuuuuuu

are the Katatonia guys all healthy? I hope there won´t be any other gigs cancelled because I decided to go to Hamburg...

They all seemed to be fine.. or if they weren't, it certainly didn't show in the performance. :)

There have been a lot of important impressions to me, but most of them would have to be explained in a very personal way.
So: it was great at all. One more nice event was when Dark Suns were asking for a place to sleep and spent their night with us at least. Lots of beer and weird stories about the tour *g*
