Glenn Harveston...true metal warrior...

Oh yeah?! Well, I saw the Monkees a few years back!

And Meat Loaf, although Meat Loaf is pretty nice progressive rock sometimes with those 12 minute Steinman epics.

OK, so now that we're doing real confessions I took my ladyfriend to see Dido a couple years back. Kind of like taking them to a chick flick, part of the 'duty'. Wasn't that bad, plenty of late teen/early 20s ladies bellybuttons showing at least :Spin: ...I think I've said too much already...

went to see The Eagles in concert tonite.

Only a man confident of his heterosexuality would do that. He's the real deal.

hmm I have seen the Eagles twice, awesome band. the best part is the Joe Walsh hour, all of Joe's songs kick ass!!!

Also seen Steve Miller, he rocks too!!!

From my post on PM:X:

I saw the Eagles last night and I must say that it ranks in my Top 5 shows of all time. I was simply stunned at how dead on the vocals and harmonies were. I cannot think of another band that has that many talented musicians, song-writers, and vocalists...especially that can still bring it after 33 years.

Highlights:

1. Don Henley during "Wasted Time." I had cold shivers like I've never had before.

2. Timothy on "Love Will Keep Us Alive." Hell, that brought the house down twice as much as "I Can't Tell You Why."

3. Glenn's new song. I can't remember the name, but it sounds like it belongs on the first album.

4. JOE WALSH!!!! Every "metal" guitar player needs to pull up a chair and watch. His extended solo on "You Belong to the City" had more "feel" in it that some can achieve in lifetime of playing. Plus, the man still sounds great as "In the City" rocked.

5. Closing the show with "Desperado." 'Nuff said.

My apologies to Ken Golden for not picking him up a t-shirt.

Glenn H.

I've seen The Eagles play live. I'm not ashamed of it!

"I Can't Tell You Why" mirrored my life with my daughter's father for some time.

Let's think of a happier tune, sing along with me now:

"I like the way sparkling earrings lay against your skin so brown...."

BABS (waiting for people to toss tomatoes and shoes at me)

Dude...

The Eagles.....

For the longest time now, I've wanted to do a really fast, really rockin cover of Take It Easy. That song would be great metallized.....

...I need to see the Eagles live before I die.

Damnit.

I gotta bring Greatest Hits with me to work Monday morning...

Glenn H.

I wouldn’t call my self an “Eagles Fan”. Having said that, I do own the Hell Freezes over DVD because I found it used for $ 5.00.

I have to say that even not being a “fan” this is without a doubt one of the most impressive musical performances of all time. I have seen a lot of bands in my 36 yrs. As far as talent & professionalism go, this band is second to none. The timing is impeccable, the harmonies are amazing. I would love to see them live. And like I said, I am not really a fan of the Eagles. I am a fan of good music and good musicians. That equals the Eagles to a “t”.

I was lucky enough to see the Eagles on their Hell Freezes Over Tour at Thompson Bowling Arena in Knoxville, TN! I know Glenn is feeling that!!! It was one of the most impressive performances that I've ever seen! In addition, I've seen Eric Clapton on his Nothing But The Blues Tour 1994 in the same arena.....I totally recommend seeing Eric if you have the chance! You won't be disappointed! If you have good music taste, then you have good music taste! Everything doesn't have to be "Metal" in order for it to be good! I love metal as much as the next guy, but that's not all I listen to! I've seen Martina McBride live before, and you want to talk about impressive pipes? She blew me away! That little gal can sing with the best of em'!

ahhh, eagles live!! good times! i got to see them on the first 'hell freezes over' tour about 10 years ago, and everything glenn said about this tour applied to the show i saw.

and joe walsh is amazing. his acidity balances out some of the treacly sweetness that some of their stuff can verge into.

i'm all jealous now; wanna go see the eagles again. :p
