No sir but I did buy a lasso!! It's green and black!! I'm not real handy with it yet (tried to lasso me a few cuties and missed) but I'm practicing real hard.

I was at the rodeo on Friday night too (for Pat Green) and I wore my sisters cowboy hat most of the night. How about THAT Andrew?

It is wierd, ever since I was real little I always hated cowboys and country music and anything related to Texas (in that yeehaw kinda way) errrr.....I am very far from being a true texan, even though I was born here. My true heart lies in the ghetto of Alief...hahahaha

I used to as well at your age. You'll grow out of it ;)

Not that I'm a yeehaw kind of girl or anything but there's so much more to the rodeo than country music. The carnival and the cook-off are a blast! It's a trade-off too cause I made one of my co-workers (probably the biggest country music fan I know) come with me to see Evergrey last May - HAHA!! Just don't ask me to go see Honeybrown

Cowboys do gross me out though .....except the authentic ones. Them are nice ;)

From my post on PM:X:

I saw the Eagles last night and I must say that it ranks in my Top 5 shows of all time. I was simply stunned at how dead on the vocals and harmonies were. I cannot think of another band that has that many talented musicians, song-writers, and vocalists...especially that can still bring it after 33 years.

Glenn H.

Hey Glenn,

What were the other 4 shows in your top 5?

In no particular order:

Jimmy Buffett- Fruitcakes Tour
Pain of Salvation- ProgPower I
BB King- surprise show at his club in Memphis
Metallica- Master of Puppets tour

I did see the Master of Puppets tour (with Ozzy), that was a good one, and Pain of Salvation was great at PPIII; have to catch Jimmy one of these days, sounds like a fun show!

Thanks,

Neal

I've seen B.B. King a few times, but I saw B.B. and Bobby 'Blue' Bland back when I was in high school and that show is easily in my top 10 concerts of all time. B.B. & Lucille rule.

--And, of course, PoS regards that as not being a good show for them technically at all.

Oh, well, whatever.....that performance is in my Top 5 as well.* :worship:

-=-=-=--=-
* the others: Dead Can Dance at Atlanta's Roxy Theater; Dream Theater SFaM tour in Orlando; Metallica second night at Atlanta's Omni in 1992 (snake-pit pass); and either Ozric Tentacles in 2000 in Charlotte or Spock's Beard at Dragon*Con in Atl. in 2002.

I saw Yanni at a superbowl pre-party. didn't have to pay, but I can't say that I wouldn't in the future. I respect his talent and originality. He has some AMAZING musicians among him. :D

Got y'all beat.

All of y'all.

I've actually paid money, out of my own pocket, to see Yanni.

Live.

TWICE.

And I'd go see him again at the drop of a hat.

BEAT THAT!!!

No no no no NO! You can't listen to Yanni! That's not a fair representation! You gotta get the DVD of Live at the Acropolis, and watch all his musicians as they play his music. His albums are all digital, keyboards, and samples. The early albums aren't real instruments. And live, his musicians perform the songs quite differently. There's an amazing difference in sound and feel when the full orchestra is playing everything, instead of the artificial feel of the synthesizers.

And seeing those dueling violinists.... whoah..... it's liek watching Petrucci sparring with Vai.
