It's been a long time since I participated in the MD drinking game...
Anyway, I thought it was relevant to post this here - sort of a "full circle" moment.
About 15 years ago I met Ryan (aka Stormrider) on this very forum. We went on to form a band called Scourge. We released an album, played a bunch of shows and then disbanded a little over 10 years ago. On July 4 we're performing a one-off reunion show as part of the Rust in Perth 2015 festival (https://www.facebook.com/events/1544364132479934/). I guess we were one of the bigger metal bands in Perth when we pulled the plug, but really just a blip on the Aussie metal radar. But Voyager, who have gone on to big things over the last few years have a guitarist (Simone) who started out with Scourge all those years ago. So in some ways, this forum has had a direct hand in that. Pretty cool.
For the people who are still here (especially those I met in person traveling around the country to see shows back in the day), I hope you're all doing well!
