It's the lack of Watchtower that surprises me. You'd think that would be right up his alley too.
I'll add this shit up if you like @Phylactery, I'm free as fuck this whole weekend.
I put both on no. 1 - it's not a typo, thus both get 9.5 points. Before re-visiting all albums, I would have put Fates Warning above Helloween, but even though "Walls of Jericho" isn't perfect (yet neither is "The Spectre Within"), songs like "Ride the Sky", "Phantoms of Death" and "How Many Tears" are too good to rank "Walls of Jericho" lower than "The Spectre Within". Well, maybe in a couple of months, I might think differently, but this is what I feel now. Fun fact: I got both albums and Agent Steel's "Skeptics Apocalypse" on Christmas Eve 1985 - it was a great day, music-wise.Yeah that is pretty strange. Though I'm less surprised by what I quoted and more wondering why he listed two albums in the 1st place spot.
@Burkhard which album is the true 1st place in your list and which is the true 2nd place album?
while "Control and Resistance" surely will make the top 3 of 1989
